MAPLE CLUSTER VENEER (Acer macrophyllum)

Other Names: Pacific Maple, Big Leaf Maple, Oregon Maple. Source: Western USA and Canada. Color: Ranges through shades of white, tan and light pink. Heartwood in a mature tree is often quite a bit darker. Pattern: Figure can be varied, ranging from clusters of burl, to muscle, to angel step, to quilted or blister type. Characteristics: Hard, strong, heavy. Uses: Interiors, Cabinetwork, furniture, decorative veneer, fancy inlays.
