HONDURAS MAHOGANY VENEER 1.5 mm (1/17 Inch) – (Swietenia Macrophylla) Other Names: Tropical American Mahogany. Source: Central America. Color: Yellowish-tan, changing on exposure to light, toa rich, golden brown. Characteristics: Mostly straight-grained but even when interlocked is exceptionally stable. Good strength properties; works well; stains and finishes well; durable and decay-resistant. Uses: Furniture, paneling, fine joinery, boats and ships, pattern-making, exteriors.
