LAUREL BURL VENEER (Laurelia sempevirens)

Other Names: Sometimes called Myrtle, Acacia or Pepper Burl.
Source: Western USA, South America.
Color: Light yellow with active burl figure. Can be yellowish green or a light golden brown. Stains well. One customer calls it the “Chameleon” burl, because it stains well to different colors.
Pattern: Mixture of plain wood, mottle, cluster, distinct burl figures.
Characteristics: Hard, strong, heavy.
Uses: Cabinetwork, furniture, decorative veneer.
