Source: South America, Brazil.
Color: Varies from a medium tan brown, to golden, to a light brown, and light yellowish brown; gradually becomes uniform light brown or yellowish brown upon exposure to light.
Pattern: Distinct growth rings, grain interlocked.
Characteristics: Heavy, hard to work with.
Uses: Exterior and interior construction, flooring, veneers, framing, turnery, tool handles and various others.
