We host 3-day workshops for local and nearby schools and community organizations.

The maximum class size is 15 people. 
Classes are 4 hours for each one half day.
These classes are open to participants 11 years and older.
Classes include 2 teachers per day, materials, and equipment.
The third day will cover graphics design and art to decorate the boards.

We had an exciting skateboard build at the Newburg Branch of the Louisville Free Public Library. Participants became Makers as they learned to build with STEAM skills while having fun and creating their custom boards. They used math, measuring, and art skills to Design, Engineer, and decorate their Skateboards. Vacuum pressing, hydraulic pressing, maple veneer grades, bent lamination, truck alignments, bearings, and more were taught in this 3-day workshop, in partnership with TALK (the Technology Association of Louisville, Kentucky).

In June 2023, Crawford County Schools in Indiana brought a small busload of students to Marwood for a Rad Science Skateboard Build. Students became Makers and learned STEAM skills, while they were having fun creating their custom boards. 14 Middle Schoolers used math skills and their imagination to Design, Engineer, and decorate their Skateboards and Longboards. Vacuum pressing, hydraulic pressing, maple veneer grades, bent lamination, truck alignments, bearings, and more are taught in this 3-day workshop. In partnership with TALK (the Technology Association of Louisville, Kentucky), Marwood has taught 15 workshops since 2015. Pricing, subject to change, is currently $3,500 per workshop, which is an average of $234 per participant for 15 participants.
