Other Names: Tulip Wood, Bois De Rose, Bahia Rosewood, Brazilian Pinkwood, Pau Rosa. Source: Northwestern Brazil. Color: Light background regularly streaked with red, pink and yellow. Pattern: Annual growth marked by dark rings. Rays are irregular, fine. Characteristics: In line of the concentric layers, pores are fairly large and open with numerous, very small pores in the remainder of the layer.
